I stumbled across Ulyana Sergeenko last night, I'm not even sure how.
All I know is that I love it so much, that the thought of not having at least one of these dresses hurts my heart a little. What am I talking about, it hurts a lot!
So feast your eyes my friends, on the sheer delight that is Ulyana Sergeenko -
Now, pick that jaw up off your desk and start thinking about how in the world I can get my hands on these dresses or create some that look just like them.....?
Oh, wow! Those first three dresses are divine! Funny you should mention creating something like them, I thought exactly the same thing. Thanks for brightening my Monday.
ReplyDeleteOh I really, really love these dresses!!!! I think I will blog about a couple of them on my own blog, I hope it's ok? I just need to collect this inspiration, and it would be great to try making something like this myself. Maybe you could do that too? Anyway, gorgeous:-) Thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOf course, spread the love!
DeleteI just did: http://fargevandring.blogspot.com/2012/04/kjoleforelskelse.html:-)
DeleteI love this designer! I have seen it around some blogs, and I always say the same, wouldn't be great that we could wear dresses like these daily? Everything is perfect on them, from the design to the fabrics, which I love.
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks for the heads-up. I find a lot of "retro" designers are too cutesy-poopsy but there is a really refined eye at work here that I find incredibly appealing. I've been wanting to make a sheer maxi forever now... Gotta get on that.
ReplyDeleteIsn't she AMAZING?! I've been obsessing over her designs for the last year.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing I love about her- her personal style is an excellent advertisement for her brand- every time I've seen a photo of her, she looks impeccable and retro and oh so wonderful! This is one of my favorites of her (and I think this dress is actually from her first collection)- http://pinterest.com/pin/61009769921558688/
And yes, these images are all seriously inspiring. I want to make a million cute blouses and full midi skirts now. And yes, maybe even a sheer maxi dress :)
Thanks for sharing!!
Oh wow, not only are the dresses absolutely stunning but I'd kill to have that model's body AND face! She really compliments the clothes and vise versa.
ReplyDeleteSERIOUSLY. SHE IS AMAZING.
ReplyDeleteWow! Pretty amazing. That blue skirt is pure perfection.
ReplyDeletethese are just so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteTotally in love with all these pics and dresses! *___*

Wow - Thanks Alice!! Your such as Sweetheart :) x
DeleteMolly, On the first dress what do you think- is it a circle/semicircle skirt that's been gathered or just a straight gathered skirt? I found the perfect fabric for it, and plan on making something super similar this weekend (only difference is I'm making it separates, and the top will be a button down), and I am going back and forth on the skirt. I have enough fabric to do either... I'm thinking semicircle skirt that's been gathered, with a nongathered semicircle skirt lining it.
ReplyDeleteOh how exciting, I too want to make that one :) I think you could go either a straight gathered skirt or a Semi Circle (I feel like a full circle would be way too much fabric). Personally, I would go with a semi-Circle gathered, it will be so much fun to wear and will have good movement; and if you use a non gathered semi-circle if will cut back on bulk. Alternatively you could skip the lining, and just wear a slip underneath?
DeleteGood call on making them into seperates! I hadn't thought of then - very economical :)
I'd love too see pictures of your finished project! Have fun sewing :) I'm sure you will

The fullness of those skirts... Perf!
ReplyDeleteOoooooo! These are all to die for. Thanks for the introduction!
